Severe Weather Emergency Recovery Orders Consent Applications
On this page you can find information and links to resource consent applications made under the Severe Weather Emergency Recovery Legislation Act 2023 (SWELA).
Hawke's Bay Regional Council publishes resource consent applications in accordance with Orders in Council (OIC) made under the Severe Weather Emergency Recovery Legislation Act 2023 (SWELA). The OIC provides a modified consenting pathway for recovery projects, where specified persons have an opportunity to make comment on these consent applications.
The Regional Council is required to consider the comments made and prepare a summary of the comments. This summary, together with the Council's response to the issues raised in the comments, are to be published on our website at the same time as, or before, the issuing of the resource consent is notified under the RMA. This information is available from the links below.
Hawke’s Bay Regional Council and Hastings District Council have received applications for resource consents from Hawke’s Bay Regional Council’s Project Team, for the construction of the flood protection mitigation works at Waiohiki in accordance with the Severe Weather Emergency Recovery (Hawke's Bay Flood Protection Works) Order 2024.
