The Regional Council develops or approves all major policies and deals with all other issues concerning those responsibilities which have not been delegated to Council Committees or the Chief Executive.
The Regional Council is made up of nine elected councillors who meet once a month to develop and approve major policies and plans for the organisation.

The public is welcome and encouraged to attend all Council and Committees meetings which are held in the Council Chamber at 159 Dalton Street, Napier unless otherwise noted.
The Chairperson will ask members of the public to leave if and when the meeting moves into a public excluded section of the meeting.
