The Hawke’s Bay Regional Council adopted the Hawke’s Bay Navigation Safety Bylaw 2024 on13 December 2023, following public consultation from 29 September - 29 October 2023. This Bylaw will come in to effect on 19 March 2024.
The Hawke’s Bay Navigation Safety Bylaw enables the Regional Council to regulate and provide for different users of coastal and inland water in Hawke’s Bay to safely use and share the water – for commercial and/or recreational purposes.
The Bylaw can be viewed on our website, at the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council offices at 159 Dalton Street Napier, or by phoning the Regional Council on 06 835 9200 to request a copy.
