Graphic Designer

Hawke’s Bay Regional Council has an opportunity for an experienced Graphic Designer in our Digital Communications team. Reporting to the Team Leader Digital Communications, this role requires someone with sound knowledge of creative concepts and design solutions to deliver professional, timely work that is aligned to the Regional Council’s brand strategy. You will work closely with a variety of internal customers across the Council, providing high quality service that meets customer needs.

About the Opportunity:

The key objectives of the role are:

• Effectively manage all design processes from concept creation to delivery to ensure a high standard of presentation and branding awareness.
• Provide creative concepts and design solutions required for all aspects of the Council’s business
• Maintain a current, professional knowledge of graphic design applications, systems, and processes.
• Build and maintain positive and professional working relationships with both internal customers and external suppliers

 About you:

 The successful candidate will ideally possess and demonstrate the following competencies:

• Hold a Tertiary qualification that is relevant to this role
• Have at least 3 years’ experience as a creative designer with a strong portfolio
• Display strong digital media skills
• Be organised and efficient, with a strong customer focus and a proven ability to prioritise workloads
• Be committed to producing quality outcomes

 The salary range for this role will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
