About the Opportunity:

As a Compliance Coordinator you will work closely with Compliance Officers in maintaining and updating our compliance monitoring database to ensure that all relevant compliance related data is correctly filed and stored, and that the data is retrievable as and when required. This includes administrative processes associated with environmental data, reporting and invoicing.

The Compliance Coordinator has a customer focus, responding to enquiries about resource consent compliance, invoices and reports and recording incidents reported through our pollution hotline. The role will also assist in project work as part of our continuous development of internal compliance processes.

The role sits within the Urban and Industrial Compliance Team with a focus on industrial discharges of emissions and wastewater, domestic and municipal effluent and discharges from urban stormwater networks. The urban and industrial team also maintain the contaminated land database and respond to enquiries for information.

About you:

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, a creative problem solver who thrives on change, and is an excellent multi-tasker while having a strong attention to detail.  An understanding of environmental issues and data management would be beneficial.

You will also have:

  • Excellent time management, organisation, prioritisation and proactive communication skills
  • Customer service skills
  • Office administration experience
  • Excellent Microsoft Office and software skills with the ability to trouble shoot problems.
  • An ability to plan and schedule own work, and to work with little or no supervision.

The salary range for suitable candidates that meet the requirements for this role is $53,730 - $60,894 depending on skills and experience.
