Organisational Performance Senior Reporting Analyst

Hawke's Bay Regional Council (HBRC) is the regional authority for the Hawke's Bay region in New Zealand with key roles in environmental management and education; flood control, drainage, pollution, waste, land, water and coastal management. Supporting approximately 160,000 residents, Council's vision is to enable a healthy environment, a vibrant community and a prosperous economy.  

Council‘s current long term plan is premised on making a noticeable difference to environmental outcomes in the Hawke’s Bay region within 10 years. This bold and ambitious plan has resulted in a step-change in activity to deliver greater impact sooner. This has created a variety of opportunities including having the systems and processes in place to set objectives and report progress. 

About the opportunity:

This is a fixed-term role up to 24 months to champion our organisational performance management framework, its pieces, how it fits together and why it matters to the organisation.  This is a cross-organisation role that will require a person with exceptional relationship management skills to work with teams across Council to set and report on performance measures and recommend improvements to both measures, targets and business process.

The position is full time (40 hours per week). The salary range for suitable candidates that meet the requirements for this role is $88,830 to $96,726 depending on qualifications and experience.

About you:

You will be a big picture thinker with the ability to build credibility and explain a conceptual framework to others. You will have the insight and judgement to validate performance results, identify trends and present information visually to guide decision-making such as dashboards, infographics, and interactive maps.

You will also have:

• High level Microsoft office and computer skills
• A clean full driver’s licence
• The legal right to work in New Zealand
