People & Capability Advisor - Talent Acquisition

Hawke's Bay Regional Council (HBRC) is the regional authority for the Hawke's Bay region in New Zealand with key roles in environmental management and education; flood control, drainage, pollution, waste, land, water and coastal management. Supporting approximately 160,000 residents, Council's vision is to enable a healthy environment, a vibrant community and a prosperous economy.

About the opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the People and Capability team for a fixed period of 12 months to cover parental leave. If you are an experienced generalist with a passion for talent acquisition and onboarding then we are keen to hear from you.

The role will report to the newly appointed People and Capability Manager and will be integral in supporting the development of our talent acquisition plan and providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders.

The salary range for this position is $74,790 - $84,762 depending on qualifications and experience.

About you:

You will have at least 5 years experience as an HR Advisor or Business Partner in a generalist or talent acquisition role.

Specifically, we are looking for:

• A tertiary degree in HR or related field.
• A passion for talent acquisition.
• Proven experience delivering proactive people solutions,      preferably in a local government field.
• Good knowledge of employment relations.
• Have the legal right to live and work in New      Zealand.
