Communications Advisor [Fixed Term]

Hawke's Bay Regional Council (HBRC) is the regional authority for the Hawke's Bay region in New Zealand with key roles in environmental management and education; flood control, drainage, pollution, waste, land, water and coastal management. Supporting approximately 160,000 residents, Council's vision is to enable a healthy environment, a vibrant community and a prosperous economy.  

About the opportunity:

Hawke’s Bay Regional Council has a great opportunity in our Marketing Communications team. This 12 month fixed-term contract role is essential to the delivery of our communications and engagement. You will work across numerous projects, helping the Regional Council to collaborate and connect with the regional community.

The successful candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification, experience in the communications, marketing and/ or public relations fields, and excellent relationship, writing and project management skills. As part of a team of eight with high delivery expectations, you will need to be fully engaged, flexible to change and able to provide great service to the Regional Council’s diverse work streams.

The salary range for suitable candidates that meet the requirements for this role is $69,210 - $78,734 depending on qualifications and experience.

About you:

You will be comms superstar with at least three year’s experience in communications, marketing and or public relations. You will be a fantastic people person and excellent relationship building skills.

Specifically you will have;

·         Relevant tertiary qualification

·         High level of Microsoft office and computer skills.

·         A clean full driver’s licence. 

·         Have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
