Manager Compliance (Vacancy 19-222)

Hawke’s Bay Regional Council (HBRC) has an opportunity for a full-time Manager Compliance to lead the compliance monitoring and pollution response functions of Council. Reporting to the Group Manager Regulation you will be responsible for providing effective management, leadership and direction for two Team Leaders and 9 compliance staff. Based in HBRCs main office in Napier you will have the opportunity to collaborate with other teams across Council and have a focus on continuous improvement.

A key leadership role within Council, you will be well versed on the Resource Management Act, have a strong understanding of compliance monitoring and experience with Environment Court Hearings. It is essential you can lead a high performing team, have good relationship building skills and an ability to engage with a range of stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you must have relevant experience in a similar position, ideally a tertiary level qualification in resource management (or equivalent) and a desire to lead people.
