An exciting opportunity has arisen for two resource technicians. One each in our Hydrology and Groundwater teams. We are looking for enthusiastic, technically-minded individuals with a willingness to learn.
The successful applicants will spend most of their time collecting environmental field data according to the requirements of our Quality Management System. They will also maintain equipment and assist with the design, construction and deployment of field equipment for investigation projects. Good organisational skills, an ability to work in a team and an eye for detail are all required.
Previous experience with field-based scientific investigations and routine monitoring may be an advantage, as will experience with hand tools, plumbing, electronic and technical equipment and a capability to undertake moderately physical manual work. A degree in geology, physical geography or environmental science may be advantageous but is not essential.
Essential requirements include: a full vehicle license and a commitment to safe work practices as working alone in the field is a component of the role.
Applications close at 4 pm on Friday, 12 October 2018 . All applications will be considered for either role so separate applications for both roles are not required.
