Proposed Regional Pest Management Plan

Hawke’s Bay Regional Council seeks industry and public comment on the Proposed Regional Pest Management Plan from 2 February to 16 March 2018.

The proposed plan has been developed following the national policy direction and it will replace the pest management strategies currently in action.

The plan includes rules for managing pest plants, animals and horticultural pests, in both rural and urban areas. It also now includes marine pests.

The plan and associated cost benefit analysis and cost allocation document can be viewed or downloaded from hbrc.govt.nz, Search #biosecurity.

Submissions can be made by 16 March here using the online form, or email to pestplan@hbrc.govt.nz.
