About The opportunity | Ko te āheinga:

Our Asset Management Group is seeking an Operations Engineering Officer to support the Operations Team.

In this entry level role, you’ll provide relevant and professional engineering support to the roles and functions of the Operations Team to achieve team objectives.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to flood control and drainage infrastructure, contract and contractor management, management of reactive and corrective works and minor projects, stopbank earthworks monitoring, engineering consenting advice, minor works procurement, and response to public enquiries related to flood control operations.

Additionally, you’ll be provided with mentorship and development opportunities, guiding you towards a future as a Senior Engineering Officer or a role within our Engineering or Asset Planning Teams

About you | E pā ana ki a koe:

To succeed in this role, you’ll have a relevant tertiary qualification in either systems engineering, engineering technology, or NZCE Civil or Mechanical or minimum Level 5 Infrastructure Industry Training Organisation qualification in drainage /civil works. You’ll be someone who is self-motivated, pro-active and energetic, with a ‘can do’ attitude. Additionally, you’ll be a great communicator who connects well with people from diverse backgrounds. A collaborative mindset, strong organisational skills, and an appreciation of how tikanga Māori and Māori values relate to Regional Council functions will support your success.

The salary range for this role is between $67,830 to $82,114 and will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
