About The opportunity | Ko te āheinga:

As an Infrastructure Support Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing HBRC’s cutting-edge technology infrastructure. This key position is ideal for a motivated professional with a mix of technical prowess, consultancy expertise, and a drive to deliver exceptional support services. Collaborating closely with senior team members, you will help manage and optimise HBRC’s infrastructure, hosting environments, networks, and cyber security measures while ensuring robust technical business continuity.

 

Your responsibilities will encompass implementing and maintaining software and hardware solutions, designing and managing cloud-based systems, troubleshooting server issues, and strengthening security practices. With a focus on innovation and continuous improvement, you’ll also mentor team members, lead infrastructure projects, and provide expert insights into technical decisions.

 

About you | E pā ana ki a koe:

To excel in this role, you will have a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent tertiary qualification and 1-3 years of experience in a similar position or industry.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate excellent communication skills, effective problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to collaborate across teams. Familiarity with tikanga Māori and Māori values and an understanding of their application to council functions are highly valued.

The salary range for this role is between $79,645 to $96,417 and will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
