Data Coordinator (Vacancy No 17-854)

Hawke’s Bay Regional Council is looking for a person to add value to data management processes for the Resource Management Group. The data, which is scientific in the main, is held in multiple systems so you will need experience in time series information and relational databases.

You will need to be familiar with environmental data (for example, water quality and hydrology) and resource management information. A knowledge of web services, R, and ideally some scripting languages, would be an advantage, as these skills are required for automation and the publication of data.

You will need to be innovative and have a willingness to work with a continuous improvement focus so that improved services to internal clients is evident.  A positive attitude is essential as is an ability to work to deadlines. An ability to produce accurate and effective processes is also a key component of the role.
