Hawke’s Bay Regional Council supports Seaweek 2025

As part of the annual Seaweek, Hawke’s Bay Regional Council is holding a range of family-friendly public activities in Napier. These events include:

Saturday 1 March – Beach Clean Up, Waitangi Regional Park, Awatoto 9.00 - 11.30 am. Waste is left behind by users of the park, washed up or illegally dumped. So please come along and help us clean up this sensitive landscape.

Tuesday 4 March – Life at the Rocky Shore, Hardinge Road, Ahuriri 3.30 - 5.30 pm.

Join us to explore the intertidal zone and find out what species we have in our rock pools.

Wednesday 5 March – Understanding Stormwater in our environment, The National Aquarium of New Zealand, Marine Pde, Napier 3.30 – 5.00 pm.

All our stormwater ultimately flows into the moana. Come along and find out ways to ensure our stormwater systems stay free of pollution. Lots of great information and fun hands-on activities will be on offer.

Families will need to register for the events on 4 and 5 March. All relevant information for these events can be viewed on the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council Facebook page. Seaweek is a national event with activities taking place all over the country.
