About The opportunity | Ko te āheinga:

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join the Strategic Projects team within Information, Communication & Technology (ICT). The ICT Strategic Projects team is responsible for the planning, prioritisation, resourcing, budgeting and execution of strategic ICT projects, and managing this portfolio from inception to conclusion.

The ICT Strategic Projects team’s portfolio has some exciting projects that are transforming business operations with the chance to make a difference in our environment and community!

The role of a Business Analyst is instrumental in driving organisational excellence through comprehensive analysis, strategic insights, and leadership in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) projects. You will be responsible for conducting thorough business analysis, process analysis, data analysis, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and effectively communicating insights to stakeholders at all levels. Additionally, delivering solutions that meet functional requirements and are adopted by users, empowering customers to be more effective and efficient in their day-to-day work.

This role is targeted for an Intermediate Business Analyst, with 4-8 years’ experience.  This is a generalist Business Analyst role, with the core functions of the ICT Strategic Projects team being business analysis, project management and change management.

About you | E pā ana ki a koe:

You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to leading and managing small-medium sized ICT projects to successful completion. Additionally, proven expertise in business process modelling and solution design implementing technology solutions in alignment to strategic goals. A relevant tertiary degree alongside 4-8 years of relevant work experience in a similar role is essential.

Ideally you will also have:

  • Understanding of change management methodologies and are comfortable in applying this knowledge. experience in
  • Experience and awareness with project management processes.
  • Strong time management skills, including managing and prioritising work.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Jira, Confluence and other database and information management systems.
  • Experience or knowledge of ERP systems like Datascape and TechOne.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to initiate and engage effectively at all levels.
What we offer | Nga huanga mōu:

The salary range for this role is between $91,890 to $102,100 and will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
