Public notice: Resource Consent Application for Realignment of State Highway 2

Hawke’s Bay Regional Council (HBRC) has received applications for resource consents from the New Zealand Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, for the construction, use, maintenance and improvement of the state highway and associated infrastructure of State Highway 2. This consists of new bridges, culverts, underpasses, overpass, constructed wetlands, wetland restoration, stream restoration, stormwater management and road.

The applicant has requested that the application be publicly notified in accordance with Section 95A(3)(a) of the Resource Management Act 1991.

Submissions for this application open at 8am on 3 February and close at 5pm on 4 March, 2024.

Applications have also been made to the Hastings District Council and the Wairoa District Council.
