We are searching for a dedicated and skilled person to become part of our Finance team. This team's role involves delivering guidance, generating reports, and offering assistance to Councillors and Executive Managers.  Join our team as a Financial Reporting Accountant and play a vital role in maintaining the integrity of our financial reporting processes.mIn this position, you will have the opportunity to ensure that our financial reports are not only precise but also support strategic decision-making.

About you | E pā ana ki a koe:

Reporting to the Senior Group Accountant you will assist in ensuring that the financial reporting functions of Council are effective, accurate and appropriate.  This role demands a strong focus on system requirements, with a primary responsibility for the continuous maintenance and enhancement of the HBRC Financial Management Information System (FMIS, also known as TechOne). As the Financial Reporting Accountant, you will have a unique opportunity to create financial reports that cater to a diverse set of stakeholders.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent tertiary qualification
• 5+ years accounting and systems experience
• Chartered Accountant qualification
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in working with financial reporting systems and requirements
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• A passion for learning and a drive to succeed in the financial industry
• Resilience, adaptability, and flexibility to keep up with the ever-changing nature of HBRC.

What we offer | Nga huanga mōu:

The salary range for this role is between $97,830 to $108,700 and will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
