About the opportunity| Ko te āheinga:

We are looking for a Communications Advisor to join the Communications and Engagement team on a full-time basis.

The team are a fun, creative and diverse group of communications professionals who deliver fantastic campaigns and provide essential marketing and strategic communications advice to the organisation. The Communications Advisor’s role is to lead external communications, support the development of the Regional Council’s culture, and build and support external communications and engagement activity with the community.

About you | E pā ana ki a koe:

 We are looking for an enthusiastic comms superstar who has an interest in the protection and restoration of the environment.

 We are looking to build our organisational culture, Te Ao Māori and engagement capabilities so skills and knowledge in these areas would be a bonus.  You’ll also be proactive, agile, flexible to change, and able to build strong relationships with our teams and key stakeholders.

 The successful candidate will need to have a relevant tertiary qualification, at least five years’ experience in the communications, marketing and/or engagement fields, and excellent relationship, writing, editing and project management skills.

The salary range for the Communications Advisor role is between $74,340 to $82,600. This will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
