About The opportunity | Ko te āheinga:

HBRC has an abundance of work to do in response to Cyclone Gabrielle. We need to increase the capability of our finance team on a 12-month fixed term basis, to process the volume of incoming requests as we help our region to recover from this event. The HBRC Disaster Relief fund needs people with a solid foundation of accounting skill and a willingness to jump in wherever needed to get the mahi done and support our community. General role requirements:

  • Accounting and systems experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other database and information management systems
  • Experience in working with financial reporting systems and requirements.

 

You'll need a 'can do' attitude and be able to hit the ground running, along with:

  • Strong work ethic and a collaborative approach to achieving outcomes.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast paced and changeable environment.
  • Ability to effectively plan, organise and co-ordinate work to ensure that goals are achieved with the highest quality of work possible within agreed timeframes.
  • An excellent standard of written and verbal communication that enables you to effectively convey technical information to end users.

The salary range for these roles will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
