We need an experienced Senior Group Accountant to join our Finance team and support our busy Council workforce. The main focus of this role will be to effectively manage key financial accounting and reporting functions for the organisation. This will include delivery of performance, financial and statutory reporting while embodying a culture of continuous improvement. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer you will be the in-house technical expert supporting the business with taxation, financial reporting standards and financial accounting. You will lead the preparation of financial statements for the Annual Report, Annual Plan and Long Term Plan and manage the external audit process ensuring these are accurate and timely.

This is a busy and challenging position for a professional chartered accountant with at least 5 years senior financial accounting experience.
