At Hawke’s Bay Regional Council our purpose is to work with our community to protect and manage the region’s precious taonga of rivers, lakes, soils, air, coast and biodiversity for health, wellbeing and connectivity. Our organisation is diverse and our work is varied. Our structure comprises of six key business units; Corporate Services, Integrated Catchment Management, Asset Management, Māori Partnerships, Policy & Regulation, and the Executive Advisory Group which also consists of the Civil Defence and Emergency Management.
About the Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join our Finance Team based in Napier. The role partners with the business providing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and internal consultative services to stakeholders. Reporting to the Senior Business Partner the role works alongside a solid Accountancy team, to support our stakeholders ensuring professional financial advice and reporting is provided. The role holder is an integral part of the Finance team delivering the Long-Term Plans, Annual Plan, Annual Reports, and the accounting function supporting the organisation to achieve its outcomes.
About you:
We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running! Ideally you would have had at least five years accounting experience. You will have great interpersonal skills and thrive in a team environment.
