At Hawke’s Bay Regional Council (“HBRC”) our purpose is to work with our community to protect and manage the region’s precious taonga of rivers, lakes, soils, air, coast and biodiversity for health, wellbeing and connectivity. Our organisation is diverse and our work is varied. Our structure comprises of six key business units; Corporate Services, Integrated Catchment Management, Asset Management, Māori Partnerships, Policy & Regulation, and the Executive Advisory Group which also consists of the Civil Defence and Emergency Management.
About the Opportunity:
Our Finance Team is navigating through a period of change and growth and we are looking for a dedicated Financial Accountant to join the team in this newly created role. The Finance Team is responsible for the delivery of all facets of the HBRC finance function and strategic advice to the wider Council and senior management.
Reporting to the Senior Group Accountant, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for a wide range of financial accounting tasks, including but not limited to –
