At Hawke’s Bay Regional Council our purpose is to work with our community to protect and manage the region’s precious taonga of rivers, lakes, soils, air, coast and biodiversity for health, wellbeing and connectivity. Our organisation is diverse and our work is varied. Our structure comprises of six key business units; Corporate Services, Integrated Catchment Management, Asset Management, Māori Partnerships, Policy & Regulation, and the Executive Advisory Group which also consists of the Civil Defence and Emergency Management.
About the Opportunity:
Our GIS Team is dedicated to delivering excellent service to our internal and external customers. We are on the hunt for a GIS Analyst who will bring their enthusiasm and quality analytical skills to support our growing team in this 3-year fixed-term role. The role will be working on multiple projects within the Council, using GIS to visualise and analyse spatial data. You will also apply your GIS skills to create meaningful insight utilising both web and field applications. You will have the opportunity to learn, grow and directly contribute to Council and have a very visible and tangible impact on our service delivery.
About you:
You will be an engaging and innovative individual who can work collaboratively within a team to deliver high quality outputs and meet the needs of the wider organisation. You will be passionate about geospatial technologies, display excellent interpersonal skills and ideally have the following:
The salary range for this role is between $75,000 to $84,000 and will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. HBRC also has a strong commitment to developing and upskilling people within a flexible and supportive working environment.
