About the opportunity
We are looking for a Resource Analyst to join our Environmental Information team with HBRC. The Environmental Information team looks after the installation, operation and maintenance of HBRC’s environmental monitoring network, equipment and safe and effective collection of a range of environmental data. They provide data management systems, processes and advice to Integrated Catchment Management and related areas of HBRC.
Initially this role will undertake work related to water use, managing and analysing data using specialist software and tools. You will collect and analyse water use data and provide reports and advice to the Policy and Regulation Teams, you will also complete data requests and reporting requirements supporting the Integrated Catchment Management teams. The portfolio of the water use work is seasonal in nature and so there will be opportunities to work with other ICM group data. This is a full time permanent position, the successful candidate will be trained to use databases and information sources specific to Hawke’s Bay Regional Council.
About You
You will be a resilient individual with high attention to detail and problem-solving skills, being able to dig through a problem, find the cause, fix and put processes in place to minimise the likelihood of a recurrence. You will have maths ability and be comfortable using statistics and graphs.
