Hawk'e Bay Regional Council is required to take a fresh look at how you are represented around the Council table at least once every six years.
We held a representation review in 2021 following the Council's decision to introduce Māori constituencies earlier in the year, and this affects the total number of councillors, the numbers of constituencies, and the boundaries of constituencies.
The Local Government Commission (LGC) agreed with the Regional Council’s final proposal as resolved on 27 October 2021 in its Determination issued on 7 April 2022.
