This committee’s role is to consider and accept tenders which exceed the delegated authority of the Chief Executive; and to consider and decide on exemptions to Council's Contracts and Tenders policy as set out in section 2.1.4.2 of Council's policy handbook.

The purpose of the Tenders Committee is to:
Consider and accept tenders which exceed the delegated authority of the Chief Executive.
Consider and decide on exemptions to Procurement Policy.
We webcast and record all Council meetings, so that people can be informed about the debate and decision-making.

The public is welcome and encouraged to attend all Council and Committees meetings which are held in the Council Chamber at 159 Dalton Street, Napier unless otherwise noted.
The Chairperson will ask members of the public to leave if and when the meeting moves into a public excluded section of the meeting.
