About The opportunity | Ko te āheinga:

We are looking for a Facilities & Maintenance Coordinator to join the Facilities and Support team. This team is a dedicated group that ensures the smooth operation of our facilities and provides essential administrative and corporate support. This team is responsible for maintaining fleet services, security, and the purchasing of supplies, playing a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of our organisation.

As the Facilities & Maintenance Coordinator, you will take ownership of the coordination of building maintenance across all HBRC facilities. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our sites across the region. You will be responsible for monitoring and implementing scheduled preventive maintenance, managing the security systems, and ensuring all furniture is well-maintained. You will also provide cost information for annual budget requirements, build effective relationships with key staff at satellite offices, ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, and actively seek sustainable alternatives when procuring goods and services. Your proactive approach will help us continually enhance our service to internal stakeholders, ensuring that we meet their facilities needs with innovative and solution-focused options.

 

About you | E pā ana ki a koe:

We are looking for someone with strong organisational and multitasking skills, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and experience in facilities management or a related field. You should have a proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement, and the ability to build effective relationships with staff across multiple locations. If you are passionate about facilities management and want to make a positive impact on our community and environment, we would love to hear from you.

Ideally you will also have:

  • Experience in facilities management or a related field
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance
  • Experience in budget management and cost forecasting
  • Familiarity with sustainable procurement practices and environmental sustainability values
  • Ability to manage and coordinate security systems and processes
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a solution-focused approach, and
  • Resilience, adaptability, and flexibility to keep up with the ever-changing nature of HBRC. 

 

What we offer | Nga huanga mōu:

The salary range for this role is between $64,350 to $71,500 and will depend on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.
