This page shows rivers and streams linked to resource consents for irrigation water takes with cut off points for water extraction, and the flow levels as assessed by Regional Council hydrology staff.
Sites with bold names in the table above have near real-time data available. Other sites, often showing an older 'last sample' date, require a technician to visit and manually assess the flow.
Flow rates used to determine bans are monitored closely, and where there is any question of validity the site is visited and flow is manually measured.
Consent holders should refer to their consent conditions for the location of their applicable site.
