Water Measuring Device Charges
Hawkes Bay Regional Council recovers cost for the Water Project from consent holders who hold consents that require a water measuring device. Charges for the 2015-2016 water year are outlined in the Annual Plan.

| Where water measuring devices do not meet HBRC's approved devices criteria or are not installed by an approved installer, a full compliance audit will be undertaken. | $413 |

An additional charge will only be made where extra compliance monitoring is required as a result of non-compliance with consent conditions, the metering regulations or where water takes require additional monitoring/data returns over and above water use returns.
Where an additional charge is to be made, this shall be calculated by multiplying the actual hours involved in undertaking monitoring of the consent by the hourly rate for the staff involved.
