In celebration of World Car Free Day, Hawke’s Bay Regional Council is offering free goBay bus services this Saturday 22 September!

World Car Free Day is held on 22 September each year, and is recognised in more than 40 countries and 1000 cities. People are encouraged to take up the challenge and get around without their car for the day.

“We are asking people to look at how they travel and, where possible, to use alternatives such as cycling, walking and public transport,” says Hawke’s Bay Regional Council Transport Manager, Anne Redgrave.

Mrs Redgrave hopes that more people will take this opportunity to give it a go on goBay bus services this Saturday, free of charge.

goBay bus service timetables can be found on the Hawke’s Bay Regional Council website link below.
