Principal Advisor Organisational Performance (Vacancy 18-937)

Are you passionate about improving an organisation’s performance?

Hawke’s Bay Regional Council is seeking applicants for this new senior role focused on developing and monitoring the overall performance of Council with particular reference to performance measures in the Long-Term and Annual plans, as well as quality assurance of organisational processes.

The role will be responsible for ensuring there are effective measures in place that support continuous improvement and positive organisational performance at an optimum level. The role will provide accurate and timely information that highlights achievements, impediments and opportunities to the Chief Executive, Executive, senior management and Council as is relevant.

Applicants will be expected to help position the Council for future challenges and develop effective quality management processes for the organisation. The provision of technical leadership in relation to reporting on organisational development and performance measure design will be provided by this role. Leadership of a small team of analysts will be another important aspect of the role.

Suitable applicants will need a good understanding of the machinery of government, have a suitable qualification and effective communication skills including excellent report writing ability. Experience in organisational performance monitoring and management will also be required.
